The combination of these access points allows you to discover the richness of the ecosystem from different perspectives and live an authentic immersion, far from the superficial.

This Is How Your Complete Experience Will Be

Contenido del acordeón

We will meet in Ituzaingó at 1:30 PM to start the adventure towards the Cambyretá Gateway.

We will traverse elevated walkways and trails that allow us to enter the wetland without disturbing it, observing its diversity of environments and the fauna that inhabits it.

In the mid-afternoon, we will take a break to enjoy a snack in the camping area, surrounded by nature and with time to rest.

Then we will continue with a low-impact activity: the bike tour along the vehicular trails. In this silent and environmentally respectful way, we can continue discovering the wildlife of the Iberá.

The day culminates at the natural viewpoints, where the landscape opens up with all its force, giving us an unforgettable finish.

We depart early in the morning for the San Antonio Gateway. A kayak journey through canals and streams awaits us there, one of the most respectful and silent ways to explore the wetland.

As we advance, it is common to see caimans and capybaras, as well as a multitude of birds (herons, storks, whistling ducks, cormorants, kingfishers…), and, with some luck, marsh deer among the vegetation.

After a lunch featuring local flavors, a community guide will introduce us to the ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants and their traditional uses.

In the afternoon, you will have free time to rest or explore the city of Ituzaingó.

The last day takes us to the San Nicolás Gateway, where we will walk among gallery forests and grasslands, with chances of finding deer, caimans, capybaras, and emblematic birds such as the Jabiru, the Strange-tailed Tyrant, or different seedeaters (capuchinos).

Later, we will navigate in a pole canoe, the most traditional and non-invasive way to travel the wetlands, ideal for observing capybaras and caimans in tranquility.

The day concludes with a country picnic before returning to Ituzaingó, wrapping up three days of complete immersion in the Iberá.

Excellent tour Six stars out of five! Excellent tour, full or exciting experiences. We did it as a couple and we took 2 days with Ibera Connecta. On the first day we made the Portal Cambryeta and on the second day San Antonio. We saw a huge lot of capybaras and caimans, and different birds, and also deer, monkeys and great parrots. We did both kayaking and horse riding, it was very enjoyable and exciting. The horse ride was partially in the water, so we felt the wetlands with our feet. The kayaks were in the lake with a ranger on another kayak for safety. The trips included a simple breakfast and a lunch, the second day it was an authentic dinner on a rancho! Also there was a bit of walking with a lot of explanations about common plants and medicinal plants. So it was a real adventure. We lived in the Dona Monica apartment because it was convenient for the trip. Also Fernando took us from the Posadas airport the night before the trip which was very helpful. The price was really affordable for this type of experience compared to expensive Carlos Pellegrini.

The Argentinian Highlight The Iberà Wetlands Trip with Ibera Connecta was the best wildlife trip that I have been on. You always think that you’re going to be on that one trip where you don’t see any animals but our guide, Fernando, assured us that we would see animals regardless of the cooler temperatures. And he was right! We saw all there was to see in terms of the big ticket items: caymans, capybaras, marsh deer, monkeys and a fox. Plus the bird life was spectacular especially the huge storks. Not only is Fernando familiar with the Ibera fauna, he is well versed in all the medicinal plants of the area as well as tree species. As well as the excellent wildlife experience, Fernando made sure that we were well taken care of providing us with a delicious lunch and tasty snacks! I highly recommend the Ibera Connecta experience to anyone interested in Argentinian wildlife and the natural environment.

Totalmente recomendable.
