This gateway is one of the most imposing accesses to the wetland, with open grasslands, water mirrors, and fauna that reveal the essence of the Iberá.

The experience begins in the Don Luis Reserve, where the trails allow you to delve into different natural environments and closely discover the wildlife and tranquility of the rural Corrientes setting.

We will meet at the agreed-upon point in Ituzaingó for the welcome and to review conservation guidelines. From there, we will depart for the Don Luis Reserve, a place that combines nature and rural life in the heart of the Iberá.

We will begin a guided hike through open fields, wetlands, and riparian forests. We will discover the native flora and look for species like howler monkeys, grassland and wetland birds, in addition to capybaras and caimans. An authentic immersion into the Iberá ecosystem.

We will head towards the Cambyretá Gateway, part of the Iberá National Park, while the guide shares details about the landscape transition and the conservation and wildlife reintroduction projects.

In a picnic area under the shade, we will enjoy a regional outdoor lunch with typical flavors like homemade empanadas, sopa paraguaya, and seasonal fruits. A moment of rest and contemplation in the heart of the wetland.

Recorreremos el Sendero Aguará y pasarelas elevadas que atraviesan los distintos ambientes del humedal. Este tramo se centrará en la observación de los diferentes ambientes del humedal y explicación de plantas medicinales.

In the last hours of the day, we will resume the walk in search of more elusive birds and mammal tracks. It will also be possible to observe capybaras and caimans, while the sunset dyes the wetlands with golden colors.

On the way back to the Visitor Center, we will share impressions about the day and the value of conservation in the Iberá.
